HYPNOTHERAPY REDUCES SYMPTOMS OF CANCER TREATMENT: RESEARCH FROM HARVARD


Medical treatment for cancer is sometimes just the beginning of the process and is so often accompanied by fear for the future, anxiety and pain. In fact, these are sometimes the most toxic side-effects of the process. 

This recent study  concludes that hypnosis reduces pain, anxiety and other negative symptoms commonly associated with cancer treatment.  Their results conclude that it benefits cancer patients tremendously and should be considered part of standard care.  Researchers at the department of Radiology, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School advise patients, doctors and insurance companies that hypnosis lowers costs significantly.
